It's Autumn and there is a chill in the air!  For our October meeting we are turning our attention to possible changes to our year end reporting for the Affordable Care Act.

Lisa Murphy, CEBS, LIC a Senior Account Manager with Mills Benefit Group A Lighthouse Company will be presenting the proposed reporting regulations that employers will be responsible for in 2016 based on 2015 data.  You may wonder why as payroll professionals we should care about the reporting requirements...  Because the proposed reporting resembles the W2 reporting process and we anticipate companies will want to combine this process internally.  The distribution process for employee W2's is the framework for the new ACA forms.  It is important for payroll professionals to understand how this could potenitally impact their duties.  Plus it is always go to know what is going on in the benefits world.

Lisa brings a wealth of knowledge to us.  Before joining Mills Benefit Group 3 years ago she held positions in Human Resources and Benefits Management in the aerospace and furniture industries.  Because she understands the inner workings of corporate America she is better equipped to help inform us of regulations we need to know.
